Cinderella and her TWO STEP SISTERSAs we all know the story how Cinderella was saved by her prince, there were just a few facts that were twisted, just so that her story would appear more like a fairy tale. And so were her step-sisters’ story.
Once upon a time, Cinderella was often bullied by her step-sisters, Bella and Rapunzel, not because of their jealousy of her beauty, because they are beautiful ladies in their own rights, but over the mere fact that Cinderella has such a nice and loving father.
About the ball which her step-mother and step-sisters refused to let her attend while her father was away, was actually the engagement ball of Rapunzel to the only Prince of Eagle at the time. But Cinderella went anyway and met the man of her dreams, the Prince of Eagle and the Prince of Eagle was equally taken to her as he had never seen anyone so filthy.
He thought she was special, a damsel in distressed, waiting for him, her knight, or rather her Prince in shinny armor to save her from all those filth. She thought he would never be hers, but wanted to leave him something to remember her by, so she deliberately left her glass slippers on the stairways when she rushed to leave the ball before the step family discovers her.
By then, the Prince realised his folly, that the engagement to Rapunzel was a mistake, he manage to break it off before the solemnizing of their marriage. After which, he set off over mountains and seas, and with the secret help of Cinderella’s father, who recognized the glass slippers, the Prince of Eagle finally found Cinderella.
When they met again, they were overjoyed to see each other. They got married shortly after and lived happily ever after.
So what happened after Cinderella’s happily ever after? Rapunzel was so embarrassed and bitter after the broken engagement; she left for a far away tower with her servant. Cinderella’s step-mother so angry with her husband’s betrayal for helping Cinderella and not her own Rapunzel left him to marry snow white’s father. Don’t you ever wonder how there could be so many wicked step-mothers? They are actually one and the same!
That leaves us with Bella and her step-father. Bella was overjoyed to finally have a nice father all to herself, having been deprived of a paternal figure since her mother had given birth to her.
However, good times don’t last long before you get your happily ever after. Bella’s step-father was kidnapped by the well-known and much feared beast that live at the top of the hill in a huge mansion. Bella was distraught.
She set out alone to the hill; her fear of losing her step-father overrides her fear for the beast. She met the beast and swore silently to herself she had never seen anything quite so ugly. She shoved her thoughts aside and set out to charm the beast into setting her step-father free. But the beast would not relent to anything except for a one-for-one exchange, her for her step-father. And in that exchanged, he meant marriage. She agreed.
Her step-father was so touched by her selflessness decided to stay with her for as long as he lives, since he had no one to return home to anyway. At least now he has his step-daughter and well… the beast.
Surprisingly, the beast was not as bad as he first seems after they got to know one another. As they say, love grows and in this case, it certainly did. As their love grew, the beast appearance improved. The beast grew shorter and no longer seemed scary, though he was still tall and has a powerful presence. Before too long, he looked just like he had before he was cursed by an evil woman, Bella’s mother.
He revealed that the kidnapped, exchange and marriage was initially just a form of revenged but it didn’t seem like her mother cared anyway. Instead he got a perious gift out of the whole story, he got Bella and her love, and well… his father-in-law. And so, with that, they lived happily ever after.
Back to Rapunzel who left home for a far away tower, to hide her humiliation from everyone she knew with the exception of her servant whom she had brought along to serve her but refused to let the servant into the tower as she wanted to be alone. Contrary to what everyone knew, she was not lock up by a witch, she locked herself up, unless you do think her a witch, a beautiful witch who was about to have long beautiful hair, or so they said.
And initially she had not used her hair to get what she want from outside tower, she used a rope. She’d lower the rope to her servant so to get food and thing she needed, like those philosophy books. Did you know she had a Masters for philosophy? Bet you didn’t. So she spent a lot of time alone honing her philosophy to make up for those times she had set them aside to prepared for her marriage and engagement, which her step-sister could now take over without doing a thing. Alright, take a deep breath; she was not supposed to dwell on it!
Eventually, her rope broke and since her hair was long enough, she decided to make them useful. She lowered her hair daily to get her necessities, eventually, her beautiful hair tore leaving it really short. She had no choice but to leave the tower.
She traveled wide and far, and finally found a village where everyone learned philosophy, she decided to join them for the rest of her life. So she marry a villager and lived happily ever after in the land of philosophies.
Whoever said you can only find happily ever after with a prince? Bella found love with a beast and Rapunzel married a villager and lived happily ever after.
